Sizes are depending upon what type of sod it is, if it is netted, or non netted sod. Soil conditions also affect how large we can go since weight is a factor. Soils as well as base materials have different weights. After finding out your material measurement round up dimensions. its always best to round areas up to the nearest sod roll to assure proper coverage. With any areas you want to make sure to include Material waste.
For an example lets give a area of 11′-2″x 20′. A sod roll measurement of 2’x5′ in this situation we would round up. The 11′-2″ to 12′ to assure we have enough sod. personally i like to add 3% or at least two extra rolls to an order. Now if you happen upon a damaged roll it can easily replace it before establishment.
